Pari: a tale of an angel

Image
Pari : a tale of an angel  This is not a typical ghost story. If you ever watched Let Me In; which is a story about a little boy being friends with a girl who turned out to be a vampire, you would surely liked this one. The characters are unique in their own way.The religious guru which is portrayed by Rajat Kapoor hunts down a djinn who is the most dangerous evil spirit in his beliefs. He then tortures them mercilessly before finally killing them. He may be doing a right job, but doesn't that makes him an angel?  In other way, Arnab is a shy guy who is soon to be married to Piyali, a doctor whom he met on a blind date. However on their way back home, they hit a person and she died on the spot. When they trying to get her relatives to settle things, Arnab only found a woman chained in a small hut; who happen to be her daughter; Rukshana.   A series of events led Rukshana to Arnab's place and you definitely have to watch the movie to see it unfolds. What I can't forget the

Bela seshe :- fresh family content

Image
Bela Seshe:- fresh family content A beautiful lesson on family and relationships. A family drama film based on learning from experiences. It depicts the value of a relation and its bonding. The film questioned about the traditional roles of husbands and wives in Bengali society against the winds of immemorial time taking place. The film setups the whole Durga Pujo scenario in the background with the ethnic culture covered up in Majumdar Paribar. It takes a turning point when the protagonist Shri Biswanath Majumdar (Soumitro Chatterjee) announces the announces his intention to be divorced from his wife Smt. Arati Majumdar (Swatilekha Sengupta) just before their 50th marriage anniversary in front of her and other family members on bijoya dashami. He claims he wants to fulfill his dreams to travel the whole world around in his remaining years. There is a line said by C.S.Lewis, "You're never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream". The film implements the dream

Oppenheimer the oscar wining biopic..

Image
And the oscar goes to… At its core Oppenheimer is a technical masterpiece. The haunting score by Ludwig Göransson is one of the film's most profound highlights. The score acts as its own character in how it builds and arcs throughout the film and peaks during arguably the best moment, the bomb drop. Paired with an aggressive and bold sound design that transports you into the screen, both sound aspects make this film truly remarkable. There are no faults in the incredible acting of the monumental cast in Oppenheimer. Murphy plays Oppenheimer in a way that enables the audience to feel the gravity of his situation and the historical repercussions that follow. However, Robert Downey Jr., who plays Lewis Strauss, is arguably the best the Oppenheimer cast brings. Downey Jr perfectly portrays the slow spiral and eventual downfall of his character. The film shines when it shifts into a more psychological element focusing on Oppenheimer and the impact of his actions and their effect on his

"sahaj paather Gappo" aka "colours of Innocence" film is based on " Talnobomi ' short film.

Image
" Sahaj Paather Gappo " aka "Colours of Innocence" film is based on ‘Talnobomi’ short story. One of the best take on Bengali short story. Whenever i watch a book or story based film, i look for one thing only " Does it give same and justified vibe to original source? " If not then it is failed.  Based upon Bibhutibhusan's short story 'Talnobomi', Colours of innocence delineates optimism hope and love. The movie has a pretty similar premise like pather panchali as both concentrate on an impecunious rural family and their tormenting life story. Gopal and Chottu, two little kids are living agonizing life because their father has become paralyzed. The relationship between two brothers has a gradual but utterly subtle development throughout the movie. The innocence is diligently limned into this movie though there are some harrowing portrayals of class division. As I have mentioned earlier that the adaptation has been done splendidly so some moment

Aynabazi :-The Best Movie From Bangladesh..

Image
Aynabazi:-The Best Movie From Bangladesh.. Aynabazi is definitely one of the best movies of Bangladesh. It has made us believe that even such well made movies can come from Bangladesh. It has set an example for the future movies in Bangladesh. The acting of Chanchal was unparallel. After tremendous success in Monpura (2009), he escalates his standard of acting in a new echelon. If he was performed this Aynabazi performance at any Hollywood movie, he would be flooded by accolades, praises and awards from all over the world. Feeling sad that he is a Bangladeshi actor where he would never get such platform to unleash his true potential. I also praised the performance of Partha Barua, who is a renowned singer of Bangladesh. Though a small screen timing, Nabila performed very well. The same things of being a small movie industry person, story writer Gousul Alam and the director Amitabh Reza Chowdhury could get more attention if they were in Hollywood. As a crime thriller fan, I expect more

Aparajito The unvanquished..

Image
Aparajito The Unvanquished.. "A film about changing films"- describes the film perfectly, it shows how an ordinary filmophile can make a film different from all the conventions and change the vision towards film forever. The film is not only about how Ray made a masterpiece but also about himself. Now coming to acting, Jeetu Kamal, impeccable ... awesome! It doesn't just happen in imitation and make-up, if Ray doesn't mix in life. Our expectations have multiplied. Every artist's performance is appropriate ... from the smallest manik to Sarvamangala ... Bimala .. 'Pather Padabali' team ... Nanibala ... everyone is impeccable. I do not have the audacity to talk about direction. The struggle behind the making of 'Pather Panchali', the remake of some of its scenes, the story of an educated-progressive couple with the subtlety in which director Anik Dutta has woven can only amaze and fascinate! At least that's what my little brain says.Music of Deb

Boasting of a stellar cast Jisshu Sengupta, Prosonjit, Anirban Bhattacharya and Jaya Ahsan, what more could you have asked for in a suspense thriller. All of them do full justice to their respective roles and have grt screen presence. The banter between Probir & Poddar is funny and brings a

Review Of Bramayugam

Image
“Bramayugam”a tell of fear and power.. To begin with, the actors delivered exceptional performances, with Mammootty particularly shining.Mammootty brings a never before seen character to life with unparalleled skill and intensity. His performance is nothing short of mind-blowing, leaving viewers in awe of his exceptional talent. Led by the visionary talents of Shehnad Jalal and Christo Xavier in the visual and music departments respectively, the film put audiences deeply into its core themes and narrative. Their contributions elevate the storytelling to new heights, creating an atmosphere that is both haunting and mesmerising at the same time. Rahul Sadasivan's direction is nothing short of brilliant, demonstrating his mastery of filmmaking art and establishing a new benchmark for excellence in Malayalam cinema. "Bramayugam " is a must-watch film that demands to be seen on the big screen. It leaves audiences spellbound and sets a milestone in the annals of Malayalam cine
